River Run Weaving is all about quality. It begins with the care Sharon and Will take with their flock of sheep, from the birth of new lambs each spring, through the process of shearing the wool and making their own yarn. Most of their yarn choices are natural but, when a client requires a particular shade - like rose or teal, Sharon personally hand-dyes the wool to the client's specifications.
I've witnessed her in action: working on her looms, enthusiastically drawing designs on paper, and personally hand-finishing each piece she completes. I don't know another artisan who puts so much of herself into her craft: every piece is unique and special. In addition to having purchased some of Sharon's handiwork, I proudly display her saddle blankets on the wall in the reception area of my office - her work is pure art.
